So I'm sitting in the staff room with Mrs. Malimpho on Friday, thinking about how nice it is that we're getting all this rain, and how nice it is to be sitting in the staff room, warm and dry and protected, when this 9th grader, Mamahloli, comes trotting in from the tempest.
The girl walks past us and picks up Mrs. Albertina's umbrella from her desk. As she heads back out the door we two teachers start chuckling. We watch Mamahloli run back to the classroom in the downfall to deliver the umbrella. "Imagine!" says Mrs. Malimpho, "Being a teacher is a nice life. You never have to do ANYTHING for yourself."
