They have sunburn spots, large skin scars, or are very small. Most will be perfect inside but some might have small portions that need to be cut out. These are the avocados that would not be attractive on a store shelf but are still totally worth eating. The farmer eats them. These GEM avocados were harvested from BalMar Farms in Fallbrook. These avocados are clean, as the trees at BalMar Farms have never been sprayed. The land around the avocado trees are not sprayed with herbicides either. I'll fit as many avocados as I can into the box -- that will be 9-12, for a total weight of about 6 pounds. Shipping is on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 23 and 24.
