Pinkerton&#8217;s seed is very small, its skin remains green when ripe, and it takes longer than Hass to ripen &#8212; two to three weeks after harvest.<\/p>\n<p>Carmen avocados are very similar to Hass, as Carmen originated as a natural mutation found on a Hass tree in Mexico. The Carmen tree, however, has a different growing and flowering behavior. The farmer eats them.<\/p>\n<p>These Pinkerton and Carmen avocados were grown in Sola Gratia Grove in Redlands, San Bernardino County. The avocados were harvested by me and my son on Monday, April 6. I\u2019ll pack as many as I can into a box: 4-5 Pinkertons and 4-5 Carmens.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being a little ugly, these are clean avocados! None of the trees from which these avocados were harvested have ever been sprayed with anything.<\/p>\n<p>Shipping is on Tuesday, April 7, arriving to you a few days after that.<\/p>\n<p>Shipping is included in the price for any California location.
