Whose flower is this?

You have eaten a part of this plant a million times, and you’ve almost certainly grown it in your vegetable garden, but you may have never let it live long enough to blossom. Poof.

Is it an onion?

Onion is the best wrong answer, if I can say that. When I looked at the photo I also thought it looked similar to an onion flower. But it’s actually a carrot flower.

I let a few of my carrots go to flower with the goal of saving their seed.

Pretty, right? Maybe you know Queen Anne’s lace, which is a carrot relative that is grown just for its flowers.
