I found this video fascinating. I’ve never seen an avocado tree enclosed in a chicken run like that before.

I don’t know of another avocado tree enclosed in a chicken run either. And I would have thought the tree wouldn’t do well with the constant scratching of the chickens (damaging any shallow roots) and the high manure load, but there it is. The tree does just fine.

Seeing the beautiful and virgin green leaves of your avocado tree reminded me of my own little ones (got three, one is from a four year old fuerte seedling) that are infested, very probably by the persea mite grrr
So no pest problems in your area? I read somewhere that mineral oil mixed with water might work but still didn’t test it…
I know there’s a predator mite that feeds on the little pests but it seems they still didn’t get the memo to get here 🙂
