This spring of 2023, I harvested avocados from a GEM grove multiple times and documented what I observed, in terms of fruit maturity, flowering, fruit drop, harvest timing, and selective harvesting.

My GEM is holding its fruit but not blooming that much this year. A Fuerte has gone CooCoo for Cocoa Puffs (TM) with the blooming. I’ve been spraying a dilute urea solution (one teaspoon urea in 32 ounces) on new leaves on several avocado trees. They seem to enjoy it and have been making huge leaves.
