Great video! Where can we buy a tree?
Thanks, Rich. If you can wait a couple weeks, I’ll be putting up a profile of the Jan Boyce tree which might help you in your decision.
I have been told that Louie’s Nursery in Riverside currently has some small Jan Boyce trees for sale. Otherwise, Epicenter makes a limited supply of them, and occasionally you can find one grown by Everde (formerly La Verne) in nurseries throughout Southern California.
Thanks Greg!!
I picked up a 5 gallon Jan boyce from Louies in Riverside yesterday, they had about 10 left. They also now have quite a few citrus right now.
Hi Greg: You’re brave to plant your Toms with all this cold weather. Today i received my shipment from Territorial. This year I have 2 x “Momotaro” and a new cherry variet called “Indigo Rose”. I think I’ll make sure they’re doing well in 2-3 weeks and then put in the ground. Best to you. What Tomato’s are you planting this year? Thank you all your knowledge/help. REgards,
Joe
Hi Joe,
I hope I don’t get burned by more cold weather. We’ll see. So far I have planted Galahad, Big Beef, BHN-1021, Lemon Boy, Mountain Fresh Plus, San Diego, Nova, and Sungold. I have a few heirlooms left to plant in a different area next week.
I love Momotaro!
The Jan Boyce avocado has a wonderful flavor. Thanks for including it in the Adventure Box. If I were to plant another avocado tree I certainly consider this.
It had great butteriness! Loving the adventure box. Maybe do a poll on the favorites? I’m taking notes along the way.
