The new year’s calendar is designed and being printed!
This 2022 avocado calendar includes some changes and additions:
- Section on how to plant an avocado tree correctly
- All new photos
- Weeks starting on Sunday (instead of Monday, as last year)
- Extra information for each month
- Harvest times of more varieties
The calendar continues to include a watering table and a schedule for watering newly planted avocado trees.
My goal with this calendar is to give timely information about caring for avocado trees throughout the year. I also wanted it to be fun to look at. Here are peeks at a few pages:

Hi there, I want a bacon or fuerte for planting in Encino. Where do I go?

I recently planted some 5 gallon avocado trees and have been using your watering table. My problem is 2 of the trees ( GEM and Reed) only have a 2 feet canopy diameter. Do you have any numbers for gallons per day with that size for the 12 months of the year. I’ve extrapolated for the month of May and I get 0.53g/day but I just don’t trust my math. Can you help?
Hey Greg, hope you are well. Thanks for putting this together! Is this not available yet or are they sold out already?
Hi Matt,
I’ve just released the 2023 food gardening calendar but I don’t have an avocado one on the way for this year. I’m working on a more comprehensive publication for avocados. Thanks for your interest.
Thank you Greg. I just moved to San Diego a few months ago and am itching to get planting. I will check out the food gardening calendar!
